Since 2016, Fake It to Make It (FITMI) has been SafeHomes’ signature fundraising event, raising over $1.7 million to support our mission of transforming victims of domestic violence into survivors. Nearly every year, the show has sold out—and was even voted Best Fundraising Event by readers of Augusta Magazine for 3 years!
This high-energy, fan-favorite lip-sync competition returns in 2027 with 8 teams battling it out for the ultimate bragging rights and the coveted championship belts in the categories of Top Fundraiser, People’s Choice, and Judges’ Choice.

1. Sponsor a Team
Put your business or organization front and center by sponsoring your favorite team. Sponsorships help underwrite the event and directly impact SafeHomes’ programs and services. 2. Donate in a Team’s Name
Every donation counts, and donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Donations can be made through this secure website, directly on the team page for your favorite team. Donations can also be made by mailing a check to:

SafeHomes, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization based in Augusta, GA. For more than 43 years, it has remained the only domestic violence program for the 10-county East Central Georgia region of Burke, Columbia, Glascock, Jefferson, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Taliaferro, Warren and Wilkes counties.
